Back to Muzzle Loader Side Lock (Percussion or Flint) Match Results

Our 4th annual Sidekick Muzzle Loader Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot is in the books. Another perfect fun day of muzzle stuffing.

We only had one dry load, which was cleared quickly, so the shooter could finish the relay before the 20 minute per relay deadline. Good job.

Interestingly, we’ve had 4 Turkey Shoots and there was at least one dry load at each match. There’s a lot going on at the firing line during a relay and concentration seems to be paramount.

This year we did all shooting, offhand and sitting off the sticks, at 75 yards which worked well with the old patch and round ball.
