Buffalo Match Results
October 8, 2010
There were a record 14 shooters that stayed over after the regular match to compete in this year's Club Championship Buffalo Match. With the lightly changing wind and mirage conditions, there was optimum conditions for a large number of hits on the gong.
Three relays were used to accomodate the large number of shooter.
Donny Chmelik hit the buffalo all 5 shots, 2 of which were gongs, and both of those were bullseyes. One bull was so close to the center, you'd have had to go downrange to determine the exact location as to the center punch location. Gary Kutilek recovered from a slow start on sight in and claimed 2nd place by hitting 3 gongs. Unfortunately, Gary couldn't get into the bull to claim the championship.
A logjam of competitors scoring a total of 7 points was broken by the only bullseye of the group by Jimmie Sommerfield. Hope to see everyone at the next match.
